New from Twig Case Co!
The Ghost Leaf Guitar Pick is the newest addition to Leaf Picks! Made from a layered paper composite fused together under pressure, it's similar in feel to our Richlite version, but slightly lighter and harder, which resists wear, and gives your guitar more sparkly tone without being harsh! This new material is available as the Ghost Leaf and Ghost Leaf Standard, and now the Ghost Leaf Jazz! Read on to learn about our picks!
The Leaf Pick is the result of years of experimentation, prototyping, and play testing. The Leaf Pick from Twig Case Co. is made from Richlite – recycled sheets of paper fused together under tons of pressure, which makes a sturdy, sustainable, super durable material – perfect for a guitar pick.
Richlite is already used for fretboards and bridges of fine guitars, outdoor skateparks, cutting surfaces and countertops in kitchens, and of course our sturdy and detailed iPhone cases and wallets.
Introducing two guitar pick styles, the Leaf, and the Leaf Standard. The Leaf is based off our trademark Twig Case Co. logo, and is similar to a Jazz III shape, but is offset with a bit more surface for easier holding and grip. Rotating the pick in your hand gives you a number of other playing techniques and tonal qualities as you play. Flipping the pick opens up even more!
The Leaf Standard is just that. A familiar dance parter, with a few new moves! Inspired by a treasured vintage celluloid plectrum we found in the case of one of our oldest guitars, the Standard has a bit less flex, and a lot more chime.
The new Leaf Jazz is based on the ever-popular Jazz shape, for fans of a smaller and more nimble size. This pick is currently available in our Ghost material.
Our paper picks have been compared to old-timey tortoise shell (now illegal) and vintage celluloid. It feels like a well-rounded Lake Superior beach stone in your hand, is light as a feather, and can improve your speed and accuracy as well as your tone. It even gets easier to grip as you play!
Every guitar pick is laser-engraved, hand beveled, polished, and finished, all one-at-a-time, all by hand, all in Waseca, Minnesota.
NOTE: As these picks are made from layered paper, and hand finished, there is some variation. All picks are approximately .8mm thick; the stiffness is in between a green or purple Tortex®, or Fender® Heavy / Extra Heavy.
Introductory pricing lasts while we finalize packaging and production. Buy anything over 9$ and you get a handmade Leaf or Standard pick for 1/2 off, automatically added at checkout!
