iPhone 7, Courage, Headphone Jacks and You

iPhone 7, Courage, Headphone Jacks and You

Every time Apple releases a new phone there is a short "eye of the storm" here at Twig where it's relatively calm after we've seen what the new iPhone is going to be like. This time around, we used some of the calm to make a t-shirt called, "Courage".

It's a reference to the iPhone announcement where Senior VP of Marketing Phil Schiller spoke about the controversial decision to remove the headphone jack in the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. He said, "The reason to move on: Courage. The courage to move on and do something new that betters all of us."

We here at Twig like the headphone jack, and weren't very excited about this decision. We get some of the reasoning behind removing it, although those reasons given would be far easier to swallow if Apple also did not own the largest and most popular headphone company in the world, if there wasn't 50+ years of audio gear that used the 3.5mm headphone jack, and if we loved adapters or charging new tiny batteries.

That said, we are excited about the new cameras, the waterproofing, and the extra speed! Our iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 cases will be ready soon!

In the meantime, check out our headphone jack shirt or our lightning jack shirt and decide what side of this controversy you stand upon, grab a local beer and have a sip of courage!
